Amapola

Elena Hurtado, creator of Amapola Formentera, was born in Valladolid in 1965 and has been living in Formentera since 1995.

There, her contact with nature led her to experiment with colours and textures, and she started making handmade bags with old fabrics. Clothing came two years later. Designed for women who value comfortable, long-lasting clothes, her garments are made only from fabrics that are easy to wash and wear. Inspired by things past, by grandmothers who are no longer with us, her clothes take us back to a time when femininity was an essential part of women’s bodies and lives.
